We headed out with Sara, Lenn, Trenton and Emily with a nasty NE wind creating rough lake conditions.  With a good screen we managed to go 11 for 17 on Walleye, boated a bonus Steelhead and tossed back several junk fish before the rough lake took its toll.  After the set in of the Lake Erie Flu the crew decided to call it a day.  Program remained the same as the previous day.

     We headed west with Robb, Andrew and Sophia for a half day evening trip.  We set lines to find a steady bite and managed to go 10 for 14 on Walleye, added a bonus Steelhead to the box and weeded through several junk fish.  The program consisted of 5 LC with deep diver and 7 LC choked up with medium divers.

     We fished the day with Mike and Rodger.  While weeding through a large amount of junk fish we managed to go 13 for 19 on Walleye boating their two man limit of 12 along with one going back for another day.  We also boxed a monster 11 # Steelhead.  The program consisted of 7 LC with medium divers and 5 LC with deep divers, the riggers also pitched in a few parked just above the break. 

     We headed out on a rough lake with Jake, Michelle and Lizzy.  Congratulations Lizzy on being the winner of this fishing charter courtesy of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  Despite the steady 3- 5’ waves this crew hung in there and managed to go 13 for 17 on Walleye and 1 for 2 on Steelhead.  The program consisted of 7 LC and weighted 5 LC with deep divers.

     We fished the day with Kathy, Seth and Hannah.  We headed north and hit several quick flurries. 
This hands-on crew pitched in and learned the program quickly.  We managed to go 16 for 21 on Walleye
and 3 for 3 on Steelhead.  We boxed 15 eyes with Hannah sending a small one back for another day. 
The walleyes remained in the same size range with 2 – 9#ers.  The crew was able to boat two monster Steelhead, one 10#s and one 8 #s. With the lake building from the east we called it a day.  The program remained the same as previous day.

     We headed to Friday’s spot with Rick, Rick and Sherri, out for their 2nd trip of the year. We picked at a
tough morning bite in which we couldn’t make the connection with several bites.   Our bite / catch rate was about 50% through mid-morning.  We continued to pick as the lake began to build from the NE.  As the waves built, the bite turned on and we ended the day going 19 for 29, boxing their 3 man limit of 18 and sending one back for another day.  The program remained the same as previous days with the fish being slightly larger. 

     We headed west and slightly north with Tom, Burt and Rich.  We sent lines in and found a steady
morning bite.  We proceeded to go 18 for 24, boxing a 3 man limit by mid-morning.  It remained a mix bag of fish with a 9 #er and couple 8s.  The program remained the same with the dipseys pitching in several fish.

    We fished the day with Matt and his family.  After some searching we found a steady bite and managed to end the day going 19 for 23 on Walleye.  It was a mixed bag of fish averaging in the 5# range with a few 8#ers in the mix. Program consisted of 5 & 7 LC with medium and deep divers off of the boards.

Team Outcast fished the 2 day 2014 Erie PA Sport Fishing Association, Summer Slam Tournament.  Pro-division competitors weighed their 12 largest fish each day which could consist of Walleye, Steelhead or Brown Trout.

Day 1:  On Saturday, we headed out NW to a spot that had been productive for the past couple weeks.  A front had moved through the night before which had moved the fish and changed the water column.  After some searching we managed to go 22 for 25 on Walleyes.  Team Outcast’s 12 biggest Walleyes weighed a total of 79.85 #s for Day 1.

Day 2:  On Sunday, we headed north and slightly west to where we had finished the previous day.  We managed to have a steady morning bite going 15 for 19 on Walleye, before the bite shut off.  In the mix of fish that ranged from 5 – 8 #s, we managed to box a 9.6 #er.  Team Outcast’s 12 biggest Walleyes for Day 2 weighed 79.15 #s.  Team Outcast took honors for the biggest fish caught on day 2.

 A total weight of 159 #s secured Team Outcast a top 10 finish landing in 9th place and taking honors for the biggest fish caught on Day 2. 

We headed out NW with Scott and Christian on a good Walleye chop.  Finding a steady bite we managed to go 14 for 16 on Walleye boxing their two man limit of 12 and tossing 2 back for another day.  The spot produced a mixed bag of sizes with the biggest of the day going 10#s.  5 LC with medium divers and weighted mono off of the boards was the program for the day.
